About the Item
The collaboration between Barcelona Design (BD) and Muller Van Severen blossoms from a shared legacy steeped in Surrealism, sculpture, and architecture. Bridges is a collection of cabinets designed by Muller Van Severen. MVS developed the cabinets from their series of ‘Wave’ vases.
Imagine a cabinet transcending its function to embody sculpture, even architecture, through the manipulation of its base. Three different units with the same dimensions in terms of footprint, but varying in height and each with a distinct cutout, lay the groundwork for exploring the essence of volume. Elevating the body in three unique ways, these openings sculpt three distinct silhouettes, supported by legs that dance with space and light.
MATERIALS
Containers, shelves and doors are made of MDF and gloss lacquered in four different colors; NCS 3060-B90G (Green), NCS 3560-Y80R (Red), NCS 7020-R80B (Blue), NCS 8010-R10B (Aubergine). The interiors are always laquered in matt finish. 5mm glass top painted in the same color of the cabinet is optional. Back part ofthe cabinet painted in matte is optional. Regulation glides are included in order to fit the different floors. The doors have steel hiden hinges finished in titanium, installed with an automatic pulse opening spring system. Coat bar for clothes is an extra accesory for the L version.
