About the Item

Original notary desk or writing furniture from the 19th century in Belgium. Made of solid oak. Standing on lion feet, 2 firmly connected base cabinets, each with a door behind which there is a drawer and a shelf. The lion's paw feet indicate the French style epoch of the Empire, whereas the diamond panels of the doors are more attributed to the Louis Seize era. Above that there is a pull-out shelf with 2 brass buttons and above it a large drawer (new brass buttons have been installed here. The desk top with flap is on the top.
