About the Item

An elaborate and very well made Antique European Knee-Hole Desk. Finely constructed and in a high lacquer polish. The lighter wood top with darker cross banding, brass bands and curved and shaped ends reflected also in the case design. The case in a darker wood with faux drawers in front and a center door opening to two shaped shelves. The sides with four graduated working drawers. All drawers with elegant brass wreath form ring pulls The entire case with brass banding and raised on a bracket footed base. Lacking a key. 43 1/2"L x 22 3/4" D x 29" H Condition: Please see detail photos. There is various age related wear and trim losses and a certain level of restoration may be desired. Stable earlier filled cracks across the top and wear and losses to the edge finish. The lower left faux drawer with a loose brass band. Veneer losses on the base edges. Lacking a key.
