A striking mid-century French writing desk or library table crafted in the Neoclassical Louis XVI style, sourced directly from Provence, France. Expertly hand-built from solid mahogany and featuring a rectangular top trimmed with beveled brass. The surface is wrapped in rich brown leather and finished with elegant gold leaf tooling. Two pull-out extension leaves offer additional workspace, while five spacious drawers, constructed with traditional dovetail joinery, provide ample storage. The top drawers operate with a shared pull key, and the bottom drawers each include mock keys for decorative effect.The desk stands on fluted, tapered legs capped with brass sabots, a nod to its classical influence.
