Small Mauser 'Typewriters' Desk with stool, Black Lacquer, Tubular Steel, Germany, 1954 Original, fully restored Mauser 'Rundform' desk ‚Model Frankfurt’ from Waldeck/Germany, 1954. Manufacturer: Mauser-Werke GmbH, Waldeck Sheet metal in high-gloss black lacquer. Three Mauser-typical, polished decorative strips on the barrel, as well as polished aluminum strips around the base and tops. Inside with 4 black lacquered metal drawers. Original key, the door underneath swings open when turned. Writing surface with new black linoleum surface. Underneath a small shelf, also covered with linoleum. The desk with the model name 'Frankfurt' was originally designed as a typewriter desk. It has an asymmetrical shape, typical of Streamline Modernism and is strongly inspired by Bauhaus tubular steel furniture.
