About the Item

An English oak dresser from the mid 20th century, with dentil molding, carved cornice, open shelves, six doors and six drawers. Created in England during the Midcentury period, this oak dresser features a molded cornice with dentil molding and sinuous carved accents, sitting above three open shelves flanked by two small doors with carved panels and small drawers. The dresser base, of deeper dimensions, showcases four drawers with slightly raised panels, all fitted with brass Chinese Chippendale style hardware, followed by four single doors decorated in the same manner than the doors of the upper section. The sides are made of recessed panels and the back is, of course, unfinished. Resting on petite feet, the dresser boasts a nicely weathered patina. With its great proportions and skillfully carved décor, this English oak dresser from the mid 20th century will make for a wonderful addition to any home, particularly placed in a living room or dining room.
