About the Item

18th century Swedish neoclassical painted secretary desk will make the perfect addition to your home whether your decor is modern, traditional, classic or rustic! Hand-crafted from dense, old-growth pine that is similar in characteristics to today's hardwoods, it features a classic design with tailored lines enhanced by the distressed, patinaed painted finish and the corbel-style base structure below. Brass pulls, keyguards and side handles add a nice accent. Open the drawers to reveal capacious storage, and flanking the top drawer are two pull-out supports that provide a sturdy base for the drop-front desk surface. When open, the interior reveals three cubby holes, 12 larger drawers and six smaller drawers plus a central cabinet! circa 1790s Measures 43h x 42.5w x 20d; surface 32h.
