This beautiful piece of furniture is the Top Portion Only of a 19thc French Napoleon III Boulle Inlaid "Bonheur Du Jour". This piece has been dated to the last portion of the 19thc but it could be older. If you have the desk but do not have this top part here it is for you. Very hard to find scarce piece. This piece could stand on its own as a beautiful piece of furniture. Ebonized wood with brass inlaid marquetry ala Andre Charles Boulle style. Gilt bronze adornment.
