George III 19th C Style Burl Walnut Double Bonnet Secretary Desk Cabinet
About the Item
An incredible stately burl walnut George III 19th Century style secretary by Burton Chiang.
The doors open to this grand piece to reveal a slew of secret cubby pigeon holes, secret drawers and columns. The top of the cabinet features a double bonnet design in a sophisticated Burl walnut wood.
There are so many incredible details to this piece with carved knights, gold gilt columns and large brass side handles. The bottom of the cabinet features 3 larger wood drawers with 2 smaller towards the top.
The flip top front is adorned with a leather top with gold tooling. The cabinet is comprised of 2 separate pieces. The top of the cabinet sits on the bottom and locks in place with a brass safety lock on the back.
This is a classic stunning piece of art and a definite conversation piece.
