About the Item
This is a superb, Period French country Louis XV secretary desk from the Normandy region of France. The piece is made of solid walnut with brass hardware. The piece shows signs of age and use and wormholes which collectors of antique know are normal and show testimony of age and time. This is very common and acceptable for French antiques. If you don't already know this, you won't be buying this anyway. This piece is beautifully carved and is in good condition with the obvious signs of age and wear to be expected on a 240-year-old antique but is in good condition for its age.
