About the Item

We are delighted to offer this lovely hand carved continental oak sideboard with militaria style front panels An expertly crafted piece, this is pure art furniture and looks amazing from every angle. Its continental, most likely Austrian or Dutch, the style was very popular and its classed as folk artwork. The oak panels to the rear really show the age, for those of us who like really old timber its an impressive piece In terms of the condition we have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, there will be plenty of age and use related patina as you would expect from a 220 year old piece. There are signs of 100+ year old worm, we treated it again just to be on the safe side, timber shrinkage splits and so on, all normal signs of a genuine piece from this period Dimensions Height:- 98cm Width:- 158cm Depth:- 69cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Pulborough warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description pertaining to the condition. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
