Jitona Sideboard U-372/386 - design by Bohumil Landsman & Hubert Nepožitek 1960s

About the Item

Stylish vintage design sideboard created by renowned Czechoslovak designers Bohumil Landsman and Hubert Nepožitek for the national furniture company Jitona, factory Soběslav – Lišov, during the 1960s. This elegant cabinet features signature mid-century modern elements including rounded edges, contrasting materials, and a smart layout. The upper section includes a glass display case with glass shelving and mirrored backing. The other half features a striking black sliding door with a fine linear pattern. The lower portion contains spacious cabinets and drawers for practical storage. Crafted from oak and ash veneer with warm wood tones, this piece is accented with original brass trim and showcases the unique aesthetic of 1960s Czech design. Condition: Original and very good with minor wear consistent with age. Small veneer damage and a chip in the black opaline glass. Light streaks visible on the patterned sliding door.
