Mid-Century Modern Janus Collection Mount Airy Sideboard Hutch by John Stuart
Located in Locust Valley, NY
Rare Designer John Stuart for Mount Airy Lodge Sideboard
This is the definition of Mid-Century Modern. A true muted walnut finish so impressive of that era. An important historical piece captured in time, when life was good, a throwback to some good years for all generations. This large piece would serve well as a credenza or sideboard, it has lots of storage and the best part is that it is covered by these amazing button cane panels. Usually those panels are part glass veneer and combination, although this piece is so understated and streamlined with those almost seamless in appearance paneled doors, almost so-gee screen like, if I may. Secret storage for those apartments and rooms that have no storage capabilities. This two-piece set comes with loads of room to fill with a small glimpse of articles that are inside awaiting to be noticed. Anyway, you know you love it.
Comes with 5 button caning doors with hidden shelf storage of three levels on the upper, 5 solid wood mitered veneer doors with additional storage below. The detail in the button cane woven basket panels are sought after in all furniture. Each door with antique brass knobs. The solid doors have a quartered panel design that is mitered veneers of grain wood in the pattern.
Small short stilt peg legs on four sides. Large storage options for dining china closet...
