19th Century French Louis XVI Hand-Carved Corner Cabinet is a splendid example of craftsmanship resulting in a design that takes advantage of otherwise dead space in the room, and turns it into a showcase! The classic lines of this heirloom revolve around its use as a vitrine, or curio cabinet, with a high, arched crown adorned with an urn filled with fruit and fixed with laurel garland centered on the scrolled molding overlooking a bonnet subtly carved with olive branches in bas relief. Spiral ribbon in various guises is the motif of choice for the remainder of the upper tier, which has been fitted with hand-blown glass panes with greenish tint.
