About the Item

Lovely original hand-painted pine armoire from the Swedish countryside. The original black and red painted finish portrays a basket of flowers on each door, and delicate hand-painted details along the crown and skirt. Right door secures in place with upper metal latch, no functioning lock nor key. Restored, strong and stable, this pine armoire is ready to be placed and enjoyed. Wax finish. Typical wear and distress of 200 years of use seen to painted finish throughout. All scratches, cracks, dings, stains and age related separation (see back) are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this lovely cabinet.
