Antique Edwardian Inlaid Wardrobe Attributed to Edwards & Roberts, 19th Century

This is a truly magnificent antique Edwardian Goncalo Alves and marquetry inlaid upright display cabinet by Edwards & Roberts, circa 1890 in date. The cabinet is bordered with boxwood lines and decorated with scrolling foliage, cherubs, mythical creatures, urns of fruit and anthemions The moulded and simulated dentil cornice is above a pair of glazed panel doors with a mirrored back. The cupboard below with a pair of panel doors that open to a spacious cupboard. This is an impressive and elegant antique English Regency flame mahogany gentleman's wardrobe in the manner of Marsh & Tatham, and Circa 1815 in date. This wonderful tall two door wardrobe features an exquisite cornice with twin leaf scroll carved pediments with acroteria corners above two small drawers. and a pair of ebony moulded triple panel doors, on splayed feet It has a highly attractive pair of ebony moulded flame mahogany triple panel doors and is raised on decoratively carved splayed feet. The doors open to reveal a capacious full width hanging section with brass hanging poles and wooden hooks. Complete with working locks and keys. It is a truly beautiful and spacious wardrobe with handsome proportions and amazingly undisturbed patina.
