An ARTS & CRAFTS / ART NOUVEAU Wardrobe CABINET by HARRIS LEBUS, England 1900

About the Item

A large wardrobe cabinet, superb wood vertical structure enhanced by beautiful geometric ornaments, with 1 central mirrored door opening on 3 hanging systems and one major drawer at the bottom, by Harris Lebus, UK 1900-1910. This beautiful cabinet expresses the elegance of early modernity, at the crossover of the Wiener Werkstatte and Art Nouveau influences, by one the most important british Arts & Crafts manufacture. This piece is signed HB twice, with reference numbers on the back and in the inside. It is in entirely original condition, with its original vintage mirror and additional wheels. The furniture consists in dismountable 3 pieces simply placed on each other, a simplistic system allowing easy movements and transportations : this is modernity! Height : 186 cm without wheels / 192 cm with wheels
