About the Item

Elegant pair of elm burl cabinets from the Austro-Hungarian area, dating from the early Biedermeier period, around 1830. The model is extremely restrained and refined, with clean forms typical of the most authentic Biedermeier taste, which favors balance and functionality. The surfaces feature a beautiful flamed elm burl with vivid grain and a mirrored effect. The structure is made entirely of spruce, a material traditionally used as a secondary wood. Particularly interesting are the decorative elements: fluted columns on the sides and in the central part, topped by small capitals carved with acanthus leaves. The profile of the doors is embellished with a carved frame with pearl motifs and corners with raised scrollwork. Healthy furniture, professionally restored and ready for use, ideal in both classic and more contemporary settings. Dimensions: width 140 cm, depth 56 cm, height 185 cm. Origin: Austrian area Epoch: ca. 1830 For more information or additional pictures please contact us. Worldwide shipping.
