Victorian 2-Tier Brass and Onyx Plant Stand with Figural Putti

About the Item

A very ornate Victorian 2-tier brass and onyx plant stand adorned by five putti or cherub-like figures, one in each of the top corners and the fifth in the center of the bottom tier. Each of the cabriole legs has a cherub and the top table has embedded human faces. This table stands apart from most other similar tables because of these features. The onyx was repaired because of damage it had sustained. Because of several cracks that occurred, it was glued together and a backer board was added to hold it together. We did not think it necessary to replace the onyx since the cracks are hardly noticeable when viewing the top. The table is signed, as one can see from the images. However, we could not determine the manufacturer. The table is in very good condition. DIMENSIONS: height to the table top 24 in. (61 cm.) height to the top of the putti 29 in. (73.6 cm.) Brass square top. 16.5 in. X. 16.5 in. (41.9 cm. X. 41.9 cm.) Square onyx top. 10.88 in. X. 10.88 in. (27.6 cm. X. 27.6 cm.) Bottom tier. 7.63 in. X. 7.63 in. (19.3 cm.
