Line Zero Collection, Number Four by Dylan Myers
About the Item
Line Zero Collection, by Dylan Myers, is a representation of his journy into the world of concrete and art.
Concrete is the most basic building material, while yet at the same time the most complex, once one starts to dig deeper. This is exactly where this journey has taken him, digging deeper, pushing the envelope, and dismantling the box. While understanding the basic concepts of concrete and chemistry will always be paramount with this medium, the way a person can tweak and manipulate concrete has fueled this into an addiction. This relentless pursuit has pushed Dylan to the limit, both mentally and physically.
Most finishes and casting methods in Dylans' arsenol are the direct result of pushing himself to the point of absolute failure; working both his mind and body beyond their limits into complete exhaustion. Dylan is a frequent visitor to this place after he has been grinding it out hot, dirty and lonely studio during creative bursts that last from 24 - 72 hours at a time; sleep deprivation can be a magical journey. These creative sessions, albeit "an unconventional approach ", allow him to remove all questions and worries, with his mind and body absolutely decimated, his soul is free and operating at a different level with all fear removed and his third eye wide open.
Line Zero Collection is my journey. After years of waiting for the right time to put himself out there to the world, he realized the time is now. Line Zero representative a journey in the truest form, 33 pieces in total.
Dylans' concrete is made with only the best raw materials that will last generations. It has been crafted with shear passion, love and drive resulting in the hottest concrete you will ever know.
