Marble Brass Birds Glass Coffee Table 1970s Vintage Gold 1980s Hollywood Regency
About the Item
This gorgeous coffee table consists of two solid black marble spheres, atop which sits an elegant brass albatross figure. The two orbs hold a rectangular piece of bevelled glass.
This piece was imported from a grand Milanese apartment, and exudes an Italian chicness. It is thought to have originated in the 1970s, and there is more than a touch of Hollywood Regency to its sophisticated form.
The wingspan on the albatrosses is an impressive 70cm (27.5in).
Please note there is a small chip in the glass top, although this is not particularly noticeable. There is some patina on the brass base of the orbs, as is expected with a piece of this antiquity.
