A high-quality vintage coffee table by Knut Hesterberg from polished aluminum base and an oval shaped clear glass top. Produced by Ronald Schmitt, Germany in the 1960s.
This combination from a sculptural light weight aluminum base and an oval clear glass top presents a powerful mix and could be an iconic statement piece in your living room.
Through the advantageous elliptical clear glass plate the coffee table shows enough space for a larger sized settee.
Very good condition with minor signs of age and use, while the aluminum base shows minor signs of age, the glass top shows fine scratches.

Knut Hesterberg
Knut Hesterberg is a world-famous German sculptor who started his career at a graphic art and design studio in Zurich, Switzerland, where he came into contact with the architect and artist Max Bill, who had a great influence on his future work. He has exhibited his sculptures all-over Europe, and many of his large-scale sculptures are permanently installed in public spaces throughout Germany and a few in Italy.
