About the Item
This is a fantastic solid wood, heavy (Walnut maybe?) square coffee table with an interesting center cut-out. The cut-out has supports at the bottom that may be original or added and may have supported a lining or a shelf. The top is supported on the base by pegs that are not attached.
I have photographed the table with a potted tree in the cut-out as an example of use but it would not be difficult to find a much more attractive use. The table measures 43 inches by 43 inches and is 13 inches high, the base measures 40 inches by 40 inches and the cut-out measures 16 inches by 16 inches. There are some signs of use, I have photographed some gouges to the base which is the worst wear.
