Rare Coffee Table by Marzio Cecchi for Hotel Lake Garda in Rope and Glass
About the Item
Rare and beautiful coffee table by Marzio Cecchi from the Italian 1970s. The coffee table was made for a hotel on Lake Garda. The product is in excellent condition. Made with an iron frame and wrapped in a thick net of red amaranth-colored rope, the coffee table creates through its dense weave an elegant and and very eccentric texture. The top is made from a transparent glass with a circular shape.
Its lines are essential and clean, but its rope weave reworks this concept of essentiality, transforming them into a true work of great Italian craftsmanship and creative ingenuity .The line is enhanced by its rope covering that gives the coffee table a special attention.Completing the set are two high stools of the same manufacture and a set of 6 chairs. ( See related products in our store). The coffee table is ideal for completing eccentric living rooms where color and modernity are everywhere. Original vintage condition.

Marzio Cecchi was an Italian designer of great talent and innovation who left an indelible mark on the world of design. He was an assiduous participant in the artistic and cultural movements of his time, and unfortunately died prematurely in a tragic car accident in New York. Prominent among his most iconic and futuristic achievements is the Serpente sofa prototype with certificate, a work of art consisting of several modules held together by a tube and totally swiveling. This sofa is extremely rare and has reached high quotations in the world's most important auction houses. We are dealing with a piece of exceptional importance, as it is a prototype that never entered the market and always belonged to the designer's family. The sofa is certified and documented and has a certain provenance. Moreover, it is in perfect original condition, never restored and carefully preserved in its original condition. A unique and extraordinary piece of historic Italian design of the 1900s, with great historical importance and with room for growth even at the investment level. The sofa is made of leather and consists of 6 modules for a total of 6 seats. It is a work of art of Italian...
