Square Mid Century Bamboo and Rattan X Base Coffee Table with Round Glass Top

About the Item

Round 1970s Palm Beach Regency-style bamboo and Rattan cocktail table or coffee table with square base. Created from bundles of brown bamboo and woven rattan, the base of this Mid-Century Modern coffee table is X-shaped in form. Bentwood rattan pieces are fashioned together in a crisscross diamond design which shows through the glass in the middle. The screws are covered in the same material throughout giving it a seamless look. Each of the four sides is swathed in herringbone woven cane or rattan, and framed with small strips of bamboo. Each joint is wrapped in bundles of rattan strands and capped off with rich brown round wooden tops for the glass to rest on. The glass is new to the piece but can accommodate a larger, heavier piece of glass which we are happy to coordinate. This drinks table is from South East Asia in the 1970s and has no attribution mark. We believe it to be custom-made. How we would style it: Bring a touch of Hollywood Regency island style to a covered patio or family room. Use it as a game table, cocktail table or coffee table. Style it with your favorite books, or a bouquet of flowers. Dimensions: The base is 41" Diameter 20" Tall Glass is 53" in Diameter.
