VLAB Brutalist coffee Table with Bronze finish limited Edition , 2008

About the Item

VLab Design Project emphasizes the importance of research, recycling, and design culture. Since their start in 2008, VLab Design Project's aim has been to give new life to iconic design pieces that lost their allure. Their philosophy is to value the past as a guarantee for future quality, therefore VLab Design Project focuses on keeping the dialog between the past, the present, and the future. They design new furniture by upcycling old items into high-end pieces with the assistance of well trained craftsmen. In 2016, their selected pieces found a new home at Fikus, a bed & breakfast boutique located in the countryside of Apulian Itria Valley. Ever since, it has become VLab Design Project's exhibition space and creative lab, always open to new influences. Buying VLab Brutalist furniture is appealing because it embodies the raw, bold, and functional aesthetics of Brutalist design, which emphasizes simplicity, strong geometric forms, and the natural beauty of materials like wood, metal, and concrete[5]. VLab Brutalist pieces likely offer: - **Durability and quality craftsmanship**, often using solid wood and artisanal techniques that highlight the material's natural textures and imperfections[5][6]. - **A unique, striking style** that serves as statement pieces, adding character and architectural interest to any space[5]. - **Functionality with minimal ornamentation**, focusing on practical design such as built-in storage or multi-use features without sacrificing style[5]. - **A balance of ruggedness and warmth** when combined with natural fibers, wood, and textiles, making Brutalist furniture feel both bold and inviting rather than cold or industrial[1]. Choosing VLab Brutalist furniture means investing in pieces that celebrate honesty in materials and craftsmanship while enhancing modern interiors with timeless, sculptural forms[5].
