About the Item
The Oaxaqueño Bargueño´s base played a fundamental role both in functionality and in the aesthetics of the Bargueño, inspired by the style of the 17th century, which was characterized by its sobriety. Bargueño bases of that time reflected these principles through straight and clean lines, without neglecting the quality of the wood or the precision of the manufacture. This base has turned legs, made using a simple lathe characteristic of the period, which provided a sophisticated appearance without being overly decorated. In addition, the base included an iron diagonal support that provided stability and ensured the strength and solidity of the piece.
