This is a superb, French Directoire style desk. The desk is adorned with bronze and brass ormolu and a gorgeous gold tooled leather embossed top. The desk features inlaid burnished tulipwood flowers and a fantastic walnut case. The desk is in original condition with flaws that time provides such as minor finish losses and dings, chips, marks to the leather. You can always buy it new in France for 20k if you want perfect. Seriously, this is a gorgeous desk at and is French-made for the price of a Chinese repro.
