About the Item

This walnut desk designed by Gio Ponti is of a very useful size and elegant design with the typical Gio Ponti leg shape, seen in many of his pieces. The bottom of the leg is flicked out so the desk does not appear bulky. The top is dark green crystal which makes the desk practical and very usable. The top of the drawers is covered with a matching dark green formica. Gio Ponti regularly used this dark green formica on his designs. The desk top is lightly curved which again makes the piece less bulky in form and makes it a sculptural piece. The drawer fronts are angled which makes the desk look interesting from the side. Both drawer areas can be locked.
