A truly eclectic dining table from the "Parlami d'amore" Valentina Giovando's collection. A piece of art more than a dining table, it has an exclusive "Retro meets modern" feel thanks to the unique handmade decoration combined with the use of modern material such as brass, zinc metal and upholstery nails.
The base is a wooden structure fully covered with precious Dedar fabric, handmade decorations made with brass and zinc-coated sheets, the refined decoration on the top is made with fabric, sequins, zinc-coated hand-cut leaves and upholstery nails.
A layer of fiberglass, fixed by hand with upholstery nails and studs, protect and cover the top, giving it a distinctive and refined look.

Valentina Giovando
Valentina Giovando has an artist’s eye and masterful skill for furniture made from unconventional materials, from lamps draped with fiberglass scales to tables decorated with patterns of cut brass and zinc. She makes every work by hand so each is unique and a testament to her extraordinary capabilities. The Italian designer’s lighting, cabinets and bedroom pieces are audacious, expressive and supremely elegant.
Giovando’s influences are eclectic and her style does not fit into any box. Employing a vast range of materials — such brass, steel, fabrics and fiberglass — she draws her inspiration from nature and historic style eras, primarily Art Deco and Liberty, the Italian take on Art Nouveau.
Born in Italy, Giovando had an early passion for artistic objects and was intrigued by both antique and contemporary pieces. She would add her own artistic flair to these objects, embellishing them with whatever materials were available. Through this experimentation, Giovando developed her practice with its singular style. She moved on to creating her own concepts for furniture pieces and lighting fixtures and bringing these visions to life.
In the 1990s, Giovando opened her own workshop in Sarzana, an Italian town known for its culture of art and design. She has since worked tirelessly and with great creativity to make a diverse offering of opulent works.

Chapel Petrassi is a contemporary design and manufacturing company based in Paris and Naples founded by designers Marie-Charlotte Bassi and Diego Petroso specialized in handcrafted furniture and custom projects for residential, commercial and galleries.
The duo met in Rome, Italy while studying, in Art and Literature for Marie-Charlotte and at Academy of Fine Arts for Diego. In 2011 after their studies, the duo travel to Europe for various projects and artistic residencies, including the American Academy in Rome in 2014. These experiences and the meetings generated aroused a curiosity and a great desire to undertake and build a project together. This common desire has naturally materialized in the design and production of contemporary furniture.
Chapel Petrassi is define by its fusion of craftsmanship and art fields with the high sense to detail. Its designs are the result of a permanent mix of different visual codes drawn from contemporary languages and youth culture.
