About the Item

Exclusive Louis XIV Italian Genoese corner card table realized in rosewood and bois de rose, this elegant antique fold over game table dates back to the third quarter of 18th century, 1760 circa. Two small drawers on the frontal shaped apron resting on round section à cabriole legs. Superlative exotic woods, wonderful flamed rosewood veneer of 3/4 millimetre thickness, decorated with inlaid bois de rose frames, to enhance the color contrast. Pulling the frontal central leg, the triangle top can become a squared game tabletop measuring 83 x 83 cm and centered by a green felt cloth. In good condition, restored and finished with gommalacca shellac varnish in our atelier, see last listed images before restoration. This artwork is shipped from Italy. Under existing legislation, any artwork in Italy created over 70 years ago requires a governative license for export called Belle Arti. The shipping may require additional 2/3 handling weeks to require and get the license according to the final destination of the artwork. Rosewood is a restricted material and needs CITES export permit -1 additional handling week.
