English Georgian Oak Lowboy with Cabriole Legs and Crossbanded Drawer Fronts

About

English Georgian oak lowboy with three mahogany crossbanded drawers, cabriole front legs and shaped skirt to front and sides. The drawers were rebuilt using the original drawer fronts but new oak for the rest of the drawers, also new drawer slides, so these work smoothly and have no cracks in the drawer bottoms. Circa 1760-70.

    Replacements made: The drawers were rebuilt using the original drawer fronts, but building the rest of the drawer with new oak, this was done in Scotland about 30 years ago. At the same time the drawer runners were also replaced. Wear consistent with age and use.
