20th Century Czech Modernist Table by J.Jiroutek

About the Item

A fine example of Czech “Brussels Style” furniture, this vintage table was manufactured by the interior designer J.Jiroutek in the 20th century. The smooth teak base on tapered legs frames the black glass table top in a sleek modernist apron with rounded corners. The combination of the warm-hued wood with the coldness of the glass expresses the authentic feel of the Central European mid-century modern minimalism, in which elegance collides with austerity.
