About the Item

Sold and priced individually. A 1980s Italian Modern side table attributed to Vico Magistretti for Cattelan Italia. The table features a minimalist black lacquered steel frame with a graceful arched detail, elegantly supporting a round, fixed glass top. The base, crafted from solid white marble with delicate gray veining, perfectly grounds the airy design. A major influence of Modern Italian design, Vico Magistretti was an Italian architect and industrial designer who stood by the philosophy “There is no excuse for bad design”. His architectural projects and furniture designs are idolized, mending form and function, sophistication and deceptively simple lines. Condition: In great vintage condition, with minor wear to the marble base and light surface scratches to the glass.
