Small English 1840s Pine Cricket Table with Carved Apron and Turned Legs

A small English pine cricket table from the mid-19th century, with carved apron and slender turned legs. Born in England during the second quarter of the 19th century, this pine cricket table features a circular top sitting above an apron carved on all sides. The table is raised on thin splayed, turned legs. Created in the early 16th century, cricket tables were traditionally made of three legs that allowed them to stand more strongly on uneven grounds. With its simple appearance and nice patina, this small English pine cricket table, circa 1840 will bring a touch of tradition to any home.
