About the Item

This lovely table is an example of an era of furniture long gone. Made in Burlington, Vermont in the mid 1800’s, this beautiful cherry, burled walnut and poplar as secondary, showcases the simple elegance and usefulness of the period. The design is comprise of two stacked drawers, two drop leaves supported by wing arms and beautiful hand-turned legs. The knobs are original to the piece and are designed with dowel stems. The drawer boxes are chamfered and are most of poplar. The insignia on the bottom of one drawer indicates the piece was made for a B. Wickels of Burlington, Vermont. Not only is this a stunning piece of history, it would be a perfect addition to many room decors, adding both a visual and historic depth to your environment.
