About the Item

This beautifully designed 19th century English flame mahogany lowboy side table is from the Georgian period and is quite the find for those looking for that delicate English piece to finish a room. The table case work and legs are constructed of mahogany with the top done in flame mahogany book-matched veneer with beautiful figuration and explosive colors of rich browns, ambers and golden hues to complement the deep mahogany case. Unique characteristics of the top include worms holes and intricate patches done over time to preserve the beauty of the piece. Supported on cabriole legs terminating on pad feet, this stunning piece boasts four drawers also with beautifully figured flame mahogany inlay and hand-forged brass pulls. The drawers are constructed with fine dovetail joints and half round trim in the drawer corners.
