French Provincial Vanity Secretary or Ladies Desk w/Distressed Antiqued Finish
About the Item
Marvelous Mid-20th Century French Provincial & Country style vanity, secretary, or Ladies Desk with a sea green tint & an all-over distressed antiqued or ceruse finish, double doors with diamond woven antiqued brass wire screen & removeable silk fabric backing, antiqued brass hardware, mirror on door backs & inner back open space, 4 drawers total with antiqued brass hardware, & a tooled leather inset in pull-out desk surface. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, it has a purposeful all-over distressed or ceruse finish that we like to call perfectly imperfect with some rubbed or worn spots that we feel simply adds to its vintage charm & the mirror shows some age & wear. This is a FANTASTIC vintage vanity, secretary, or Ladies Desk wearing a soft sea green tinted all-over distressed or ceruse painted finish and let me just say… there’s a LOT to talk about here!! First of all,… this purposed (and quite phenomenal!!) all-oved distressed or ceruse finish… that we like to call “perfectly imperfect” as we LOVE the charm, character, and nostalgia that comes with the inevitable hands of time. You simply can’t create that… so, we left it as is!! Next, the top features double doors with diamond woven antiqued brass wire screen insets & removeable silk fabric backing AND lovely antiqued brass hardware. Open those doors and you reveal marvelous mirror on both door backs and the back of the open space. It's the perfect place to store make-up brushes, office accessories, or small décor. It has a top shelf over the double doors and three small drawers with pale pink or blush colored ceruse finished inner drawers below the double doors. In the center of the vanity is a pull out workspace or desk bearing a buttery yellow leather tooled inset top surface and a larger drawer with pink or blush colored ceruse finished inner drawer & antiqued brass double pulls below the desk surface. The entire cabinet stands on charming cabriole style legs and it bears adequate space for small items such as hair clips, make-up & other beauty items, or books & office supplies. It would be a wonderful addition to your dressing area, bathroom, or bedroom used as a vanity but it would be equally as spectacular in a sitting room or office utilized as a secretary or Ladies Desk. Or place it in your spare room and use it as a vanity/desk combo!! Versatility folks!!! It possesses a FABULOUS French Provincial style with a Country flair that you are sure to admire for years to come!! Is it a vanity? YES! Is it a secretary or Ladies Desk? YES!!! Is it yours??
