About the Item
Louis Philippe Walnut Wood & Veneer Dressing Table, Late 19th Century
Step into timeless elegance with this exquisite 19th-century Louis Philippe-style dressing table, a stunning piece that effortlessly combines artistry and functionality. Dating from the second half of the 1800s, this antique has been expertly restored to showcase its original splendor, making it a luxurious addition to any refined interior.
The dressing table is composed of a four-drawer chest of drawers crowned with an elegant oval mirror, gracefully mounted in a movable, hand-carved openwork frame. The mirror’s surround is a true masterpiece, adorned with an intricate branch and leaf motif—a design element thoughtfully echoed on the sculpted vertical edges of the chest, creating a harmonious visual flow.
Crafted in warm-toned, decorative veneer with a rich natural grain, the drawer fronts feature an undulating, wave-like silhouette. The top drawer projects forward in a refined risalit form, while the three lower drawers curve inward in the center, enhancing the piece’s sculptural appeal. The golden brass handles and escutcheons, some adorned with delicate cherubic figures, add a touch of ornate sophistication.
A perfect blend of craftsmanship, history, and decorative impact, this Louis Philippe dressing table is not just a piece of furniture—it’s a conversation starter, a functional heirloom, and a symbol of 19th-century elegance reborn.
Don’t miss the chance to make this unique piece yours.
