About the Item
Original, contemporary painting by artist Benjamin Casiano. By virtue of his academic training at the Pratt Institute (Brooklyn, NY) and years of professional experience as an art director and graphic designer, Casiano has developed many talents, but never steered away from his first love of painting. He paints every day. Today his work is owned by corporate and private collectors throughout the US. Over the last few years, he has developed his own unique style and technique, drawing inspiration from the diverse worlds of stained glass, fashion and graphic design. He's gone from photorealism to cubism, but it's the abstract figurative movement that’s had the most profound impact on his work. Using geometric shapes and color gradients, his figures are executed in a loose brushstroke technique creating a form of expressionism. With saturated colors and rich textures, he creates intense definition to covey a specific mood and feeling. He often says that if he could express himself in words, he would have no reason to paint.
This acrylic on canvas measures 26" x 32", including frame, and is ready for the wall.

Native New Yorker, Benjamin Casiano is an accomplished creative director, designer & painter. He received his BFA from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. Although he ventured into the world of design, art is his first love. Many describe his art as a form of pop-cubism. Today his art is owned by corporate & private collectors in the US & abroad. Recognized with numerous honors & awards. Casiano is currently exhibiting in New York City, Philadelphia & Paris. His goal is to simply add something not seen in modern day culture.
