About the Item
Fantastic and rare Charles II mid-17th century stumpwork wool and silk picture. Illustrating stories from The Book of Esther, including the King lying in bed reading the book "The Law," Queen Esther before King Ahasueru, and Mordecai riding the King's horse along with other various motifs of animals, plants, and insects. Presented in a faux tortise shell frame measuring 14" x 18.25" overall.
