About the Item

Presumed to having its origins in the United States and done in the Arts & Crafts period, this extremely intricate and realistic depiction of two hound dogs bridled together is done completely in various colors of silk thread. The faces and bodies of each dog are highly detailed executed through the use of several stitching techniques for depth and shading as well as the subtle variations in the colors chosen of the threads themselves.
