Antique English Round Wall Plaque Carved in Knights, Shield & Crown Motif
About the Item
An English carved wood plaque from the later 19th century. This antique wall decoration from England, which is circular-shaped and 2 feet in diameter, has been hand-carved with a shield of crowns at center with three knights above, and pair of eagles at top. It is further embellished in a motif of crowns, rings, and petite flowers. The dark stain has a nice old patina throughout, giving it a lovely warmth. This 19th century English plaque would be quite handsome adorning a wall in a study or library.
