France Antique "Brittany" Paul Fouillen Arts Crafts Pyrography Panels

From an old New England collection of fine Arts & Crafts furnishings.
Two large all original unique works of art, circa 1920
This is a beautiful set of two (2) hand incised and signed wooden cabinet panels - all hand incised and hand painted and dating to the 1920 period. Each panel is incised with a detailed image of a female and male country folk art figure by famed artisan Paul Fouillen. Each cabinet panel is incised with old Northern French costume of that day embellished with prolific natural designs and patterns.
Dimensions: Each panel is 29.5" high and is 15 inches wide. Together the matched pair as shown measure 30 " wide.
Handmade, hand carved, stained and hand burned using pyrographic techniques
Provenance: Thirty year old New England collection.
About Paul Fouillen:
Paul Fouillen was a creative artist. Paul Fouillen was born in 1899 and died in 1958. Paul Fouillen's creative work was largely influenced by the 1900s and 1910s. He excelled in wood and pottery and was reknown for his quimper pottery and pyrographic wooden works of art.
History of the Pyrography:
py·rog·ra·phy, a noun, is the art or technique of decorating wood or leather by burning a design on the surface with a heated metallic point. Pyrography was particular popular in America and Europe during the last quarter of the 19th century and first quarter of the 20th century.

This is a beautiful hand incised image "After Rembrandt" hand created by Norman Kingsley and dated 1899 on reverse. It is all hand incised and hand stained. It details a subject image after Rembrandt which Kingsley specialized.
