Interior Genre Scene Late-20th Century Italian Wood Inlaid Marquetry Panel
About the Item
Italian marquetry panel inlaid in different colored fruitwoods, cherry, walnut, pearwood and boxwood, depicting an interior comic scenes, a genre scene with drunk figures, maids, dog, inspired to Northern European genre scene of 17th century.
This panel can be hanged as wall decoration, it is a marquetry work with a superlative intricate inlay realized in Italy in 20th century circa 1970s by an ébaniste, an Italian tarsia, in very good condition, with a superb French polish finish.
The pieces features marquetry of various grains of wood stained with various neutral shades. Unframed, it has an eyehook attached to the verso for hanging.

Width 52 cm.
