Italian 18th century Baroque Period Mecca wall decor/mirror
About the Item
A wonderful and most unique Italian 18th century Baroque Period Mecca wall decor/mirror. This most decorative and rare carved Giltwood wall panel is set within an elegant mottled frame and on a wonderful patinated Mirror plate. Sumptuously scrolled and intricately detail acanthus leaf carvings flow throughout the panel, with large Rocaille movements to each side coalescing in the center. The scrolls lead to a wonderful central reserve of acanthus leaves surrounding a circular rosette. All original Mecca throughout.
