About the Item

Orientalist Moorish gravure scene of Turkish women dancing in the harem. After Luigi Crosio (Italian, 1835-1916), Moorish Scene, "The Dancer" Luigi Crosio Orientalist gravure after the original of the Scene Mauresque Dance. Large etching signed "L. Crosio" in the plate at lower left. Young lady playing musical instruments while a young woman dances on a roof-top harem palace terrace. Many small holes damages see pictures. Luigi Crosio (1835-1915) was an Italian painter who lived and worked in Turin, Italy. Framed in gilt wooden frame under glass.
