Pair of framed Castelli majolica landscape tiles - medium size - hand painted and glazed in the 18th century style of the region - featuring bucolic landscapes with castles and country houses - each tile signed 'Q. ol. STEFANO, CASTELLI' - vintage gallery style metal frames in a gun metal finish with a bevel edged linen finish matte board with blue liner detail, all under glass (back boards appear to be acid free) - Italy - mid 20th century.
Excellent/mint vintage condition - no loss - no damage - no restoration - minor scuffs and scratches to the frames - minimal signs of age and use - ready to hang.
