About the Item
Original vintage French Porto Ramos advertising poster from circa 1920. Founded by Adriano Ramos Pinto in 1880, Casa Ramos Pinto soon made itself known for its innovative and pioneering strategy.
As illustrated by this poster featuring the iconic design by French illustrator René Vincent still symbolic with teh famour port to this day. We simply adore the design of the couple puckering up over a glass of ramos Pinto held aloft by a cherub.
Vincent worked in an Art Deco style and became famous for his poster designs. He was influential in the Art Deco movement in the period between the two world wars. His illustrations helped define advertising in the 20th century.
This vintage poster is sized 14 1/2 x 20 1/2 inches and in Rolled Linen-Backed Near Mint Condition. It will be sent rolled (unframed).
