Charcoal pencil on paper. Matted in a black matte under glass in a thin gilt frame.
Ahlas was a California-born artist of Greek ancestry. He was trained at the California College of Arts and Crafts and New York's American Art School. He toured southern Europe for several years in his early career. This drawing could possibly be from that period.
Signed Ahlas to the lower right.
